What's in a name? Glen Spey 21 Year Old (2010 Release) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Glen Spey 21 Year Old (2010 Release) whiskey, rather than whisky.
This is really a whisky that flirts with your senses. Both the nose and the palate is fruity and very distinct. I was overwhelmed by this whisky´s complexity.
This bottle has pride of place on my bar. After being open for a couple of weeks, this whisky settles down and shows amazing fruits (tropical & stone fruits), balance, spice, and honey. I've yet to share this with someone who didn't think it was a great dram. True...it's not for the sherry lover. Yet I think that that this combines sophistication, elegance, and a full-throated flavor experience.
