The nose is quite fresh and crisp. There is an abundance of fruits of all varieties; notes of citrus and lemon peel, hints of berry fruits and crème de fraise and a little Midori liqueur. There are notes of winter spice and potpourri and a touch of caramel with a cut hay note. The palate is quite rich and full with a dryness to it. The smoke whirls gracefully with notes of marmalade and lemon peel. The oak is charred and peppery with chewy tannins in evidence. A buttery vanilla note lies in the mix. The finish is quite long with spicy oaken warmth.
