The nose is quite rich and well-balanced. There are notes of rich dried fruits and juicy esters. There are hints of rosewater and vanilla spice with a little melted butter on granary toast. The oak develops with requisite aridity. The palate is quite full and rich. There are notes of sherried sultanas with a chewy mouthfeel, hints of gentle smoke with charred oaken embers. The sherry notes are rich and dry and are coerced by the mixed fruit salad notes. The finish is long with gentle smoke and barley sweetness.
