Nose: Big toffee sweetness with marmalade and stewed pears. Underscored by fragrant ceder wood notes and a refined citrus.
Palate: Not as sweet as the nose suggests, the palate is quite dry with a smooth fruity body - pears again with apple and a hint of liquorice.
Finish: Medium, and pleasently dry with bitter orange and ceder.
Overall: A refined and subtle whisky that would work wonderfully as an aperitif.
