What's in a name? Ginkgo whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Japan. Were it from America it would be spelled Ginkgo whiskey, rather than whisky.

A Japanese blended malt, this was created by Ichiro Akuto who once worked at the Hanyu distillery. Ginkgo is the name of a tree which is believed to date back 150 million years, used for its medicinal qualities.
