Whisky or Whiskey

Insider knowledge: Frasers Lowland Reserve (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Frasers Lowland Reserve (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.

Frasers Lowland Reserve Bottling Note

A Gordon and MacPhail single malt. This is the Lowland expression from the Frasers range, matured in refill American hogsheads. The producers describe this as "subtle & delicate, an ideal aperitif".

Frasers Lowland Reserve Tasting Note

The nose is light and well-balanced. There are notes of cut hay and sherried oak, a touch of fudge and an herbal character, an heather root note develops. The palate is quite light and a little peppy. There are notes of dry spice and wood oil, a green note and a touch of cedar and oak. The finish is of medium-length and quite dry.
