Fettercairn 17 Year Old 1995 - Single Cask (Master of Malt)

Distilled in 1995 and aged for 17 years in cask number 2943. Evidently, this was a really cracker of a cask, as the 284 bottles produced are gorgeous. A stunning Fettercairn.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Malt Extract, Sesame Thins and thick, rich turbinado sugar. Complexity that belies its years.

    Palate

Sweet palate entry, green apple with caramelised brown sugar. Classic Tarte Tatin.

    Finish

Tarte Tatin fades into Creme Brûlée, with just a suggestion of old oak.

    Overall

A serious surprise from this distillery, perhaps unfairly famed for not regularly producing excellence. Goes to show... the cask maketh the dram.
