What's in a name? Fettercairn 14 Year Old 1996 - Un-Chillfiltered (Signatory) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Fettercairn 14 Year Old 1996 - Un-Chillfiltered (Signatory) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Quite sweet with notes of malt, rubber tyres, hazelnut and sultanas.
Palate: Quite sweet and slightly herbal with notes of dried peels, and chocolate orange.
Finish: Herbal, slightly rubbery with traces of barley sweetness.
As good a whiskey as I'd ever drunk. Didn't last a night sadly.
