What's in a name? Dewars 12 Year Old Special Reserve whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Dewars 12 Year Old Special Reserve whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Toasty. Malt, cut flowers, toffee, hint of smoke.
Palate: Little fuller, acacia honey, fudge, hints of smoke. Barley.
Finish: Medium, honey, barley and smoke.
Very good value for money! Even better than simpler malts. I wish there was a 15YO edition of Dewars, like eg. the Cutty Sark 15YO (hint hint hint!).
I bought 3 Bottles of this in Dubai Duty Free Shop on 17th May 2010 night on my way to Chennai India, just because of the Offer for every 3 Bottles of Dewar's 12 Year Old Whiskey a Hand Luggage Suitcase Free.To my dismay this Whiskey was pretty Bad in taste as wlll as aroma. I normally buy only Blacklabel of Jhonnywalker, but because of this offer I bought this. Please make a better acceptable Whiskey for Public if you want to compete with Jhonnywaler Black Label
exceptional aroma and a great tast,i usually drink single malt and black label but this is even better.great
A SUPERB WISKEY EVEN BETTER THAN MALTS WITHOUT BEING TOO EXPENSIVE.TEN OUT OF TEN.
I have just developed a taste for scotch whiskey. I've sampled many different brands. Dewars 12 year is the smoothest taste I have ever tasted for a blended scotch. Just excellent. Thank you Dewars.
smooth, easy on the palette, best 12yr whiskey , so far, drink up all
