What's in a name? Dalwhinnie 1991 Oloroso Finish - Distillers Edition whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Dalwhinnie 1991 Oloroso Finish - Distillers Edition whiskey, rather than whisky.
I have a bottle of double matured 1981 distilled Dalwhinnie with a special release no: D. SD. 312 which I intend to open this Christmas. Have been unable to find a reference to this anywhere as presumably it is no longer available.
Any thoughts would be appreciated - firstname.lastname@example.org

To preference this review, my wife and I are 'new' to drinking scotch. We first purchase the normal 15 yr old bottling based on a recommendation. We planned to drink it as celebration on the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We drank this bottling throughout our African adventure and loved it. When we returned to the States via London, we purchased the Distillers Edition. We are totally in love with this bottling. It is extremely smooth and light with a elegant flavoring.
