Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Daluiane 1983 Cask 867 - Celebration of the Cask (Carn Mor) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Daluiane 1983 Cask 867 - Celebration of the Cask (Carn Mor) whiskey, rather than whisky.

Dailuaine 29 YO 1983 Bottling Note

An astounding old Dailuaine from Carn Mor's stellar Celebration of the Cask series, this was distilled in early 1983 before a 29 year maturation in a single hogshead. It was bottled at natural cask strength in June 2012, and comes as part of a release of just 263 numbered bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Mineral-like, chalky nose with hints of engine oil and sourdough bread. Big citrus notes, a little juniper.

Palate: Creamy palate entry. Cooked apple, cold custard and plum wine. Gingerbread and spices.

Finish: Herbal, bittersweet finish... bitter orange marmalade.
