Jim Murray's Whisky Bible
What's in a name? Clynelish 16 Year Old 1997 - Single Cask (Master of Malt) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Clynelish 16 Year Old 1997 - Single Cask (Master of Malt) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Jaffa cakes and lime zest becomes lemon curd and peach.
Palate: Salted and viscous with grapefruit and fresh, ripe peaches.
Finish: Tingly stone fruit goodness.
Overall: Ticks all the right boxes, this is a tremendous Clynelish.
Yep, this fantastic. Such power! Great distillery. Great cask
