Nose: Obvious sherry cask on the nose; loads of plums backed by a combination of malt, oak and a little marzipan.
Palate: Smooth and warming with a slight dark chocolate raspberry tinge.
Finish: Slightly peppery, with more of that slightly fruity dark chocilate drifting slowly away.
Overall: An interesting whisky that has more to give than the name suggests.
