A delicious 16 year old, 1996 vintage from Wemyss Malts' range of superbly appropriately named whiskies - this is Lemon Smoke... It comes from a secret distillery on Islay - let's just say it's C Ila, no that's too obvious, let's call it Caol I, yes that's better. Shh, it's a secret.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Lemon zest and rich notes of Key Lime Pie and peat smoke. Hints of apple peel, coal tar.
Palate
Zest and wood smoke, barley sugar, damp earth and dried grass. Creamy and sweet.
Finish
Smoky finish. All kinds of dried fruit, with sugared lemon.
