What's in a name? Bunnahabhain 8 Year Old - The MacPhail's Collection (Gordon & MacPhail) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Bunnahabhain 8 Year Old - The MacPhail's Collection (Gordon & MacPhail) whiskey, rather than whisky.
Lovely and delicious! A rich dessert. Nose, peat fire by a beach topped by the scent of freshly made s'mores. Chocolate, fresh pipe tobacco rule the palate garnished by a flourish of caramelized pear followed by a delightful medium finish that would be welcomed to stay for ages.
Will welcome this malt to my collection with open arms.

Managed to pick this up for only 22 quid from a shop in St Andrews. Absolutely great price for an 8 year old Bunnahabhain. Nice and smoky.
