What's in a name? Bunnahabhain 24 Year Old 1988 (cask 4111) (Berry Bros. & Rudd) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Bunnahabhain 24 Year Old 1988 (cask 4111) (Berry Bros. & Rudd) whiskey, rather than whisky.
On the nose I got a mix of berries, chocolate, sweet pipe tabacco and a hint of oak. The palate is creamy black cherry, vanilla, red licorice, subtle spices and just a touch of brine. This is a very well balanced whisky. I will be purchasing a second bottle of this to hold onto for a while and open on a special occasion.
