A release of 755 bottles, distilled at Bunnahabhain, matured in bourbon barrels and taken to Bruichladdich for bottling in 2009. A cask strength 19 year old bottled by Murray McDavid.

Bunnahabhain 19 Tasting Note

Nose: Mildly smoky, and mostly fruity with wafts of salt air, dried oak, tar and olive oil.

Palate: A rich array of concentrated fruit and a good deal of smoke. This is rough and ready, with salty oak, red berries and honey sweetness.

Finish: Good length, tangy spices linger.

I personally didnt get on with the sample of this. The nose (to me) had a strong sulfur smell which wasnt my bag at all. Unfortunately the sulfur taste transferred into the taste a little too much for my liking, it does however offer a rather nice malty finish so not all bad.
