Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.

Bunnahabhain 18 Bottling Note

A comparatively recent release from Bunnahabhain, a less-peated dram from Islay, this single malt has been sherry matured for 18 years and exhibits coastal notes and some medicinal undertones.

Bunnahabhain 18 Tasting Note

Nose: Full, doughy. Cereals, warm pastries, lightly salted butter. Some bruised fruit emerges with a hint of smoke. Iodine. Malt, apple peel.
Palate: Quite dry, bruised apple, pear sweetness. A definite burnt character emerges: smoked ham, spent matches.
Finish: Short, but pleasant. Burnt pastry, smoke.
