Bunnahabhain 13 UCF Bottling Note
Distilled at Bunnahabhain from heavily peated malt, this is an unusual expression from a distillery known for its gentle, fruity malts. 13 years old, and made from a vatting of two hogsheads. Bottled by Signatory.
Nose: Green and grassy. Cut hay, fruit and something vaguely coppery. Sweetness too, and a hint of tar.
Palate: Rich and concentrated with notes of black pepper and tangy peat. A big slab of peat in fact, with crepes suzettes, almond oil and a hint of brine.
Finish: Good length with oiliness, hay and cool wood smoke.
