This was distilled at the Bruichladdich distillery in October 1990 before a 21 year maturation in a single cask (refill sherry butt number 8837). It was bottled for the Directors Cut range in 2012, and there are just 255 bottles available, all at natural cask strength.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Spicy and rich nose with sweet sherry, manuka honey and a little vanilla.

Palate: Rich, creamy palate with candied peels and vanilla. Allspice, a hint of smoke.

Finish: Long, toffee-led finish with supple peat and spice.

Overall: A rich, slightly peaty malt from Douglas Laing.
