Bruichladdich 10YO 2001 Bottling Note

A beautiful Bruichladdich from Duncan Taylor. This was distilled from heavily peated malt (unusual for Bruichladdich), and it was finished in a 70 litre sherry Octave cask.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Creamy and spiced. Notes of citrus zest, smoked hickory, salty peat, sticking plasters and lime juice. A hint of tequila too.

Palate: Oily and tangy. Crème caramel, sweet smoke and salted almonds, plums and feta, hints of iodine and fruit.

Finish: Smoked and fruit-driven.
