Insider knowledge: Bowmore 25 Year Old 1987 - Old and Rare (Douglas Laing) whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Bowmore 25 Year Old 1987 - Old and Rare (Douglas Laing) whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: A floral, aromatic nose with soot, tobacco smoke, lavender and toffee apples.
Palate: Caramel, malt and vanilla. Hints of tonic water, gingerbread and lemon sherbet, alongside oily wood smoke.
Finish: A floral, coffee-led finish.
