If the chaps at Bowmore are to be believed, the Devil himself once visited the Islay town and hid in a church. But, because the Devil is silly, he hid in a round church which had "no corner for the Devil to hide in". He was chased out and ran to the Bowmore distillery where he hid inside a barrel on its way to the mainland. So now his spirit haunts the spirit in this bottling!
That might be true, but it might also just be a neat story made for this fiery 10-year-old single malt Scotch whisky, matured completely in the finest first-fill sherry casks. Who knows?

I was lucky to try this one at the Bowmore Distillery. All the bottles were sold out except one which they had for tasting. It is full of taste, peat and fruit but still elegant for a so powerful whisky.
There is so much to this scotch, but in the end, it is very tasty. I managed to get two bottles and will probably pick up at least two more before people realize how good this is. I have only just tried a bit of it.
My bottle arrived this lunchtime. Fantastic bottle and look forward to sampling later tonight.
do we have a confirmed time of how fast that went! Lucky devils
