What's in a name? Bowmore Cask Strength 1l whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Bowmore Cask Strength 1l whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Acetone and spice, pear drops, woodsmoke, old ropes, fleur de sel and butter.
Palate: Dry and oaky, malt loaf, burnt toast, marmalade and smoked kipper.
Finish: Burnt wood, hickory, kippers and sultana.
Great whiskey, at full strength overpowering! Nose; clean and crisp, peat. Taste; apple, toffee apple, slight honey, water brings out creamy peat smoke. Very nice for a winter dram neat in a flask.
