Insider knowledge: Bowmore Cask Strength 1l whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Bowmore Cask Strength 1l whiskey, as opposed to whisky.

Great whiskey, at full strength overpowering! Nose; clean and crisp, peat. Taste; apple, toffee apple, slight honey, water brings out creamy peat smoke. Very nice for a winter dram neat in a flask.
