Bowmore 1971 Bottling Note

A cask strength 34 year old single malt from Bowmore. This was distilled in 1971 and matured in ex-sherry casks before bottling as part of an outturn of just 960 bottles. The colour is rich and dark and hints at what is a very spicy, rum-like single malt.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A cornucopia of winter spice. Rich and thick.

Palate: Mouth-filling malt. Dundee cake, aged rum. Little flitters of smoke and peat. Cigar leaf, mixed peels and ground ginger.

Finish: Dry, woody, warming.
