What's in a name? Bladnoch Distiller's Choice whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Bladnoch Distiller's Choice whiskey, rather than whisky.
I tasted this 2011 bottling @ the Bladnoch distillery in 2012 and bought a few bottles. This is a Bladnoch that you just sip, sip and sip☺ Personal communication indicated that this whisky is 4 years old.
Nose: honeyed and malty with a hint of smoke alongside citrus notes.
Palate: custard apples, vanilla and some delicate sweets
Finish: again sweet tones, not too long though (that's a.o. why you sip it)
