Whisky or Whiskey

Interesting fact… Bladnoch 1991 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky spells its name whisky as it originates in Scotland. Had it been produced in America its name would be Bladnoch 1991 - Connoisseurs Choice (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, instead of whisky.

Bladnoch 1991 Bottling Note

A 1991 'vintage' from the Gordon and MacPhail range, Connoisseur's Choice. This bottling of Bladnoch was matured ex-bourbon refill casks and exhibits dry wood, spice and cereals with a balancing floral note.

Bladnoch 1991 Tasting Note

The nose is aromatic and herbaceous. Cereal notes develop with malty sweet barley and something hay-like. There is a spiciness and notes of dry wood. The palate is sweet and of medium body, more spice with a floral edge and soft oak, quite light, all in all. The finish is soft and smooth and little fanfares of oak and gentle apple blossom weave in and out.
