Insider knowledge: Benromach Organic Special Edition whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Benromach Organic Special Edition whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
A full nose offering sweet oak with vanilla and spice. A smooth mouth feel, with soft peat smoke. Try it poured over a large ice cube on a hot summers day. The finish is clean, and makes you desire more.
A lovely aroma. Sharp taste but the lingering flavours - you can taste the smoked peat; it is superb - out-weigh the sharpness. This is worth every penny.
I've just come here to purchase a bottle of this as I've heard good things about it and am yet to try any Benromach range. Shame.
