Nose: Dark peat. It proves powerful, deep and medicinal. Iodine.
Palate: Full. That dark peat is all-pervading. Bruised fruit and a very, very gentle toffee sweetness. The bulk of this is quite simple, yet beguiling. The juiciness of the cask-finish provides a little depth, but perhaps the mouth feel is where it all lies.
Finish: Long, malt and peat lingering, a little malmsey has crept in, peppered spice.
