A light bodied Speyside dram fropm Benriach. This was distilled in 1996 and aged in refill sherry hogsheads before bottling for Gordon and MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Very fresh, with a malty cereal note. A hint of almond becomes evident and there is a heavy sweetness - marshmallows.
Palate
Delicate and mouth coating, a gentle heat develops and remains constant. A sweet influence is present also.
Finish
Medium.
Overall
A delicate Speysider, suitable as an aperitif.
