Insider knowledge: Bennachie 17 Year Old whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Bennachie 17 Year Old whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Quite crisp and gentle with freshly cut fruits and gratings of orange peels. Sweet barley malt too.
Palate: Medium. Smooth, round fruity, honeyed notes.
Finish: Medium with developing oak.
A very good malt
A friend brought some from Scotland. Got me started in drinking Scotch and I am sorry to see they are discontinued. I will never again have a drink as good again.
