Interesting fact… Bennachie 10 Year Old whisky spells its name whisky as it originates in Scotland. Had it been produced in America its name would be Bennachie 10 Year Old whiskey, instead of whisky.
Nose: Honey, smoke, cereals, sherry.
Palate: Hay, citrus, walnut, fruity.
Finish: Smoky and spicy, sweet.
I was unsure about tasting a vatted malt as single Speysides have always been my preference. What a surprise!! This Whisky demonstrates a gentle, fruity, smoothness of taste and character with a long and gentle finish, surpassed only by the 17 year old edition. An extremely drinkable Malt, which is replenished on every trip I make to Scotland.
