What's in a name? Bennachie 10 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Bennachie 10 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Honey, smoke, cereals, sherry.
Palate: Hay, citrus, walnut, fruity.
Finish: Smoky and spicy, sweet.
I was unsure about tasting a vatted malt as single Speysides have always been my preference. What a surprise!! This Whisky demonstrates a gentle, fruity, smoothness of taste and character with a long and gentle finish, surpassed only by the 17 year old edition. An extremely drinkable Malt, which is replenished on every trip I make to Scotland.
