Nose: Freshly brewed black tea followed by orange peel and a little liquorish.
Palate: A very soft mouth-feel with spiced orange and vanilla notes.
Finish: The finish is gentle but not insufficient thanks to a pleasing spiciness.
Overall: It is easy to see why this Balvenie was so popular, wonderfully smooth without compromising flavour. Grand stuff!
