“A fine drink indeed. Given to me as a gift during deer hunting camp it was a hit with those in attendance. A wonderful Scotch that has a finish unsurpasssed by any other. A must have.”

Balblair 1997 - 2nd Release

This is the second release of a 1997 vintage from the Highland distillery of Balblair. Balblair bucked convention a few years back by replacing age-statement with vintages like those of wine bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Crisp, herbal, berries and barley, nutty vanilla.

Palate

Sweet, a little earthen quality with a fruity robustness. More vanilla, but now creamier, and gently infused with the oak.

Finish

Silken with warm pastries.
