What's in a name? Avonside 8 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Avonside 8 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
The nose is quite light and fruity, there are hints of stone fruits, particularly peach, with a coastal character. The palate is quite smooth and well-rounded with fruit notes, a touch of citrus and a little toffee. The finish is long and gentle.
