Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Ardbeg Supernova 2010 (SN2010) 2nd release whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Ardbeg Supernova 2010 (SN2010) 2nd release whiskey, rather than whisky.

Supernova SN2010 Bottling Note

Maximum one bottle per customer.

Quite possibly the most exciting new whisky release for 2010! This is the brand new Supernova, stronger, more pungent in flavour, and more earthy than last year's Supernova - which Jim Murray rated with 97 points, heralding it as the "Scotch Whisky of the Year". Supernova SN2010 Tasting Note

Nose: Very punchy and full bodied, huge in fact, just an enormous array of flavour with notes of espresso, berry fruits, huge chilli flavours, black pepper, agave, mescal, then dried fruit, hints of tar.

Reviews of the Ardbeg Supernova 2010 (SN2010) 2nd release

Ardbeg Supernova 2010

I have my bottle on the way to me and can't wait. These tasting notes for Ardbeg Supernova 2010 are excellent and the whisky sounds right up my street!

Better than the first release

Rating (4.5)

I know most people prefer the 1st release, but I actually like this one better. It's a lot cheaper than the other one to boot!

Wow!

Rating (4)

With leather and tar as pronounced as they are, not to mention the 60% alcohol content of this baby, it is one smooth operator. I have to say, this is not my taste for an evening bottle, but I surely enjoyed my one drink.
