What's in a name? anCnoc 16 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled anCnoc 16 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Fruity and fresh. Floral notes, barley. Honey, apples, herbal.
Palate: Fresh, crisp with fruit and freshly cut timber. Perfume, barley, vanilla, orchard fruits.
Finish: Good length, cereals, walnut, oak.

This was the hands down favourite at a whisky tasting I did at my local. Ignore the poncey packaging and try it!

I was nervous spending so much on my first bottling from this distillery, but oh my is it fantastic. I read tasting notes for this referencing fresh fruit tea, and that is spot on, i feel like im nosing and tasting sweet fruit tea with some fresh grass notes in the nose, and a slight oaky vanilla in the taste. Fantastic dram, in my top ten.
