Allt a Bhainne 1996 Bottling Note

This twelve year old Allt a Bhainne was bottled by Douglas Laing for the 20cl range of their Old Malt Cask brand. These are known as the 'Advance Samples' and are designed to replicate the sample bottles the Laing brothers are sent to try when selecting the casks they may later bottle.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Parma violets then sweet malt and apricot.

Palate: The palate is creamy to begin with then there is menthol, thyme and some nectarine juice.

Finish: The finish develops green fruit flavours alongside aromatic herbs.

Overall: A well constructed malt from an under-appreciated distillery.
