A cask strength bottling from Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range - this time it's a tasty Allt-á-Bhainne which was distilled in 1996. After maturing in a refill American hogshead for 22 years, it was bottled in September 2018 with a small outturn of 277 bottles.

Nose
Shortbread and sponge cake, with whiffs of spiced fruit chutney developing in the background.
Palate
Citrus sweetness takes centre stage on the palate, with a whiff of fresh malt in support.
Finish
Peppery, though continued lemon and orange sweetness brings balance.
