Adelphi Liddesdale Bottling Note
A secret single malt from Adelphi, this is supposedly an Islay dram, and there is more than a hint of Northern fruit in it, but we can't give you any more hints than that. It was bottled from 5 refill European oak sherry butts. Aged for 18 years.
Secretly Savouring
Came across this hidden gem at last months whisky festival in Calgary, Canada. Surprised me how well this one stood against the giants (HP 18, Macallan 18, Balvenie 21). Lovely colour and nose. Honeyed oats.Oily, slightly salty but I was suprised with the lack of smoke for it being named Islay. Smooth and long finish. I seriously think this whisky would go well with cereal in the a.m. If you come across this one , do not hesitate. Your wife will understand ($85)
