Whisky or Whiskey
Interesting fact… Aberlour a'Bunadh Batch 44 whisky spells its name whisky as it originates in Scotland. Had it been produced in America its name would be Aberlour a'Bunadh Batch 44 whiskey, instead of whisky.
A'Bunadh Batch 44 Bottling Note
This is Batch 44 of the irrepressible Aberlour A'Bunadh bottling. The A'Bunadh is labelled without an age statement and is bottled at a cask strength of 59.7% abv. Although each batch is unique, this heavily sherried and excellent value malt whisky remains extremely popular and it's easy to see why.
Big Oloroso sherry notes of coffee and 85% cocoa chocolate on the nose followed by roasted coffee beans and burnt raisins on the palate. The finish is big and spicy with some fruit compote on the tail.
Batch 36
Batch 36 is absolutely fantastic! Each batch is different and vary, so be careful and do your research. Buying this Scotch can be a risk!
batch 44
What can I say.....exceptional and recommended to all. It was shipped to the US and it arrived a day early you guys are the best wouldn't get whisky from anywhere else !!!!
Batch 37, 40, 44
Very complicated, and many layers. Nose: You could get lost in, forever. Then, an explosion of flavors hit the palette, huge Olorros sherry flavor, interlaced with toffee, caramels, coffee, burnt wood, salt, raisin and lots of spice, with long, warm and meaningful after taste. Powerful, cask strength upon the first sip, neat; but, I discovered it really transforms itself with that recommended ice cube into something really amazing, to mellow out and really open up with all those wonderful flavors that make this one of my all time favorites. A'Bunadh is a great whisky for the price, and I highly recommend it. 93.
Batch 42

Batch 41
Amazing whisky, it is.
Batch 40.
So smoooth! So many flavours.
Batch 42 - wow!
Batch 42 is 60.3% abv. I keep this locked up with my 20- and 30-year olds because it's that good, that complex. It is chocolatey, chewy, spicy on the palate. On the nose I detect raisins and---is it?---a hint of peat. The finish is strong, spicy, memorable. How can something this cheap be this good?
Batch 44
Excellent. Wonderful finish.
Started with Batch 22 & will keep going.
The first Batch I had was 22. I have travelled through to here. I have arrived at 44. Standard is excellent. I love introducing my friends to these as they arrive. Never been disapointed. Master of Malts delivery is second to none. This is a dram for grown ups.
