a'Bunadh 38 Bottling Note
One of the most stunning ongoing batch releases in the whisky world, and certainly one of the best value-for-money buys out there. Aberlour's incredible a'Bunadh is aged in first fill Oloroso sherry butts, and it's bottled a ludicrously intense cask strength. Like drinking a spicy, hot mince pie! This is batch 38...
Nose: A rich, creamy and sweet nose with notes of figs, dates and mincepies, hot from the overn. Hints of cigar leaf, pepper and allspice, and oodles of juicy, rich Oloroso sherry.
Palate: Sweet and sticky with notes of dates and prunes, allspice again, nutmeg and toffee apple, developing into caramelised sugar on rhubarb crumble with lashings of fresh custard.
Finish: Great length - an engulfing, spicy explosion of fruit and sherry.

Just about to buy my partner his second bottle. Bought the first as a birthday present and he has requested another bottle! He gave it a 10 out of 10
Special Occasion Dram
Very bold sweet flavor. I crave this after an especially good dinner. It's very strong, 60.3% so it needs water and time to open up... but when it does it's wonderful. It's rich and creamy so it makes a great dessert drink.

Having shared a bottle over the past few weeks with many appreciative
Malt Whisky drinkers, who also classed this whisky as outstanding I am
now ordering two more bottles.I have also been impressed by the superb
service, and the packing of these precious nectars by Masters of Malt.

Although I'm not a big fun of sweet(ish) Whiskies, this is one of my favourite, in the "under £60" category. Truly one of the best value for money every-day Whisky!

On to my third bottle, the multiplicity of flavours within this supurb
whisky are beyond desciption, and my friends all agree. Well worth trying.

Don't be put off by the abv.
Only bought a dram of this to try and it's now on my buy list. Very nice dram in Aberlour's distinctive style, I was intrigued as to how the high abv would affect the taste but it seems to enhance it.
