Gold Rum up to 7yo - 2014
The Rum Masters (The Spirits Business)
Nose: A lush tropical fruit top-note with a decent amount of spice and dried fruit. There’s also a very pleasing seam of sugar-cane running through it - think ‘El Dorado 12 meets Havana Club Anejo Blanco’.
Palate: Not overly sweet, but enough to give support to the intense waves of fruit and oak. A good development of the spice and dried fruit from the nose leads to an elegant and refined mid-palate. This is a serious rum indeed.
Finish: A decent length [inappropriate joke removed – ed], with yet more oaken spice coming through, and a wonderful clean break provided by the resurgence of that lovely fresh sugar-cane flavour.
Overall: This is a cracking rum, and we have to say, not at all what we’d expected. A very pleasant surprise, very well presented, and with individually numbered bottles, this is sure to become a collectors’ piece in no time flat.
i ordered one for the fun of owning a ron jeremy bottle ...
it definitively doesn't taste like rum ...
it tastes like medicinal alcohol
trust me, i am realy into good alcohols, my favorites are tequila and rum
wich i didn't find any taste in ron's

This has come highly recommended on a number of Web sites (including this one) as well as by many workers at the local specialty spirits shop. I took the plunge for £25 (on offer) and was bitterly disappointed.
Has a bit of sweetness, no overall character, too much bite in the back of the mouth, and no finish whatsoever. That this bottle usually sells for £30-35 is pure marketing, in my view. I imagine it would mix alright, but neat or on the rocks is not enjoyable.
If you want to stick with Panamanian rums, go with Don Abuelo, which outclasses Ron de Jeremy in every way, including price.

Bought a few bottles yesterday and met Ron as well in Clifton, NJ USA. I love a good aged rum and enjoy the body and texture of HC as well...and this is somewhere in between. Noses well, has a slight fruitiness, and isn't overly sweet like a mixing rum...and not medicinal at all. I paid $25USD and this bottle is worth every penny, my rating is based on quality & value. BTW, Ron is a very engaging guy, funny, smart, and looks good for a guy that was on death's door not long ago.

I accidentally ordered this Ron de Jeremy instead of the spiced version, which I had tried and loved for it's smooth but intense vanilla flavour. This I found to be extremely medicinal - ok with a mixer but pretty grim straight

I have tried most rums and premium rums and I have to say that this, for the money, is very bad value as far as taste goes. Not only that the bottle is terribly designed I think a 10 year old could do a better job. I would never buy this and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, but hey, it's your money.

Best rum I have tasted.

Very fruity light tasting rum with no alcohol burn at all, goes down real easy, to easy. Fast becoming one of my favourite rums.

I'm new to sipping rums and thought I would try some samples out based on reviews that I had read. So I bought four rums Ron De Jeremy being one of them. So I'm trying this rum out as we speak. Now don't ask me to describe all the things people say they can taste when sipping a rum I don't taste half of it. What I will say is what a lovely sweet (not to sweet) rum this is, very fruity indeed no after burn and smooth. Out of the four I bought I thought this one would of been the one I didn't like but, boy was I wrong beautiful little rum. Well done Ron.
Is this rum anything like Captain Morgan's spicy rum??? Seen this product everywhere on the shelves in Australia.

I was always taking sh*t, from guys who couldn't drink strong dark rum with me! The "hair on your chest" jokes were just too muckin' fuch! Now I will introduce them to Ron de Jeremy, and watch them glow! it's sooo smooth (and light for a dark spiced rum)! I think it's fabulous! I own Miranda's Pub, in Leominster, MA. My girlfriend Andrea was at the tasting in Worcester, MA today. She brought me my first taste! better than sex - and that's saying a lot! Thanks Ron, I swallowed!
beautiful drink, i hope i dont get pregnant.

Whilst being 'straight', dear old Ron's 'member' has featured on many of my discerning videos! At a healthy nine inches, he has 'bottled' many a wench,. i only hope his production of this nectar hasn't got any creamy notes whatsoever!

this is awesome.. best rum ever .. thx ron

This is my first experience with a premium rum, therefore I can't really compare it to anything. I'm a whiskey guy.
I found it very smooth when drinking it neat, but I suggest that you let it breathe for 8-12 minutes, since it enhances the "dried fruit" taste. Great rum!

I accidentally a whole bottle of Ron de Jeremy, is this dangerous?
9th January 2012
just wish you had a Ron de Jeremy whisky, what a legend , great sales pitch

Nose: Quite tropical. Spices and fruit: Melon papaya And quite some sugar cane. Thick sugary base. all in all, lovely.
Palate: sweet , woody (oh laugh!) and lots of dried fruits running in all directions. Spicy initial effect then more rounded and sweet with some cinnamon and allspice.
Finish : medium long (yes yes, i know) . As Ron would approve Oak and spice go a long way. Nice.
If we ignore all the PR and dazzle, this is a very nice rum. Not something that will change your life, but it’s a good rum. very sippable, even neat.
No score this time, as it’s a Rum and i am walking on terra incognita here. Let’ say it’s pretty damn good.
