A super high strength dark rum from Bermuda. Despite the 75.5% of Gosling's Black Seal 151, this is a very smooth rum, and it's utterly delicious. Well worth trying.

Nice, after the initial shock.
A half hour after the initial sip has dispersed and your tastebuds have recovered, you can actually start to enjoy the taste.
Perhaps I should go back to the "weak" Woods 100° proof to save my stomach from melting.

I need to try this again. After ordering the gosling 80 , which I love, was given this instead and didnt enjoy it at all. Every sip the burn obliterated the taste and other rum heads i was with agreed. Theres that distinct gosling taste but it seemed too buried in the proofing to appreciate. But I will try it again just to see if I still think the same. Maybe its just more of an aquired taste. I dont mind high proofing as long as I can still taste something other than alcohol!
gosling know what they're doing more thsn I do. Maybe its more of an aquired taste or depends in your moid at the time. Its certainly the strongest rum I've ever tried!

tried this last night in a zombie cocktail and its fantastic, pour it in a carved out lime and set fire to it then drink it it blows your head off, drink it straight in a shot glass without the fire and it is a smooth and sweet experience so trust me guys the fire is the best

Once the volume knocks you on your ass, after you get up, its warming, sweet brown sugar, bitter licorice, and creamy vanilla in harmony, better than woods, and equal to pussers as far as overproof rum goes.

I am no rum expert, though every now and again I get a 'taste' for it. I've looked at this on several times, before I decided to 'give it a go' I am so pleased I did. It is very smooth, but be take note: the high alcohol content will warm you right through :-) It is excellent on it's own (with a nice cigar) or used for a rum cocktail, and it is great for puddings, cakes and sauces, that require a rum flavour. I am so pleased I tried it.
