Nose: Caramel and charred oak, a little orange blossom, manuka honey and vanilla.
Palate: Thick and creamy with notes of vanilla, toasty oak, honey again, a little apricot too.
Finish: Good length - rounded and rich.
I have it with ice, apple juice and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder.

Don't expect this drink to keep you warm in winter. It tastes more like a milky bailey's than whisky. It does say whisky liqueur on the bottle to be fair though. Drunk neat is sticky and sweet of that what you want but with no warmth.

it has to be almost the most perfect drink that you can sip on any day of the week, any hour. I belong to the Sons of Italy in Berlin, NJ and they started to carry it just for me, now they have to order more because others have discovered it and it goes fast - keep making, never stop

I was flying home from SLC last night and saw this one on the menu. I usually drink single malt whiskies and on occasion, enjoy a bit of Drambuie straight up. I asked the flight attendant for some of the Jack Daniels since I didn't want a really strong drink in flight.
This stuff is good. It's smooth, just the right amount of sweet and has some unique character. I will buy a bottle to add to my collection of whiskies.

why are you so negative about this liqueur, it is obvious that this is not straight WHISKEY, on the bottle clearly says honey liqueur. Anyway, it is really smooth and kinda sweet, you can taste and smell Jack, it's fair price and it's nice quality. Pour it over ice, kick back and enjoy ;)
7th October 2014
Sweet, maple syrup, rich... very easy to drink, by itself, and a perfect step into the straight whisky game. Respect it for its place in the line.

A horrible synthetic and unnatural taste. If someone found the honey let me know. Looks like medicine.
30th September 2014
My taste is not your taste that simple is it about every drink.
I love it served chilled and never, never mixed with cola or something.
I'm sure the ladies must love it to.
26th September 2014
Its very bad... One word says it best. Yuck. The honey note is too much.
25th September 2014
i am very surprised by this JD Honey and it's fair price, it's a very good blend, smooth, enjoyable, it is perfect for aperitife and later when kickback in chair
Only if your a scotch snob would you turn your nose on this elixir. For the other 99% of us... Try it (neat) and you'll love it.

the best whiskey ever
6th July 2014
It's great if you mix it with a glass of cold milk and some ice, it is like a sweet honey creamy drink to enjoy while relaxing
12th June 2014
A perfect mix of sweet honey and jack Daniels whiskey. perfect in the mouth and soothing on the tongue. a real must have for the cabinet.
BY FAR MY FAVOURITE WHISKEY I'VE EVER TRIED.
10th June 2014
My favourite in Jack's cabinet.
Perfect neat, the honey blend gives a smooth, sweet flavour.
If you want to be wild, go for the "honey monster"
One part Jack Daniels Honey to 2 parts green monster energy drink.
Great taste and potent enough for nights out.

I dont know where all these folks are reading where this is for mixing . It's great straight up and on ice . For some reason with this and so many others people think if you pay more its better , No so . Its a Great Whiskey at a good price , you dont always get what you pay for . And keeping up with the Jones and the rest of the Stuffed shirts will cost ya

Loved it , Great straight up 10/10
Awesome drink. 10/10
14th February 2014
Really nice taste and perfect for sipping over ice, perfect blend of Whiskey and Honey in my opinion
26th December 2013
Not bad at all! But need drink an ice cold
12th November 2013
People are reviewing this as if it was a sipping whisky. JD themselves have marketed it as a mixer and a chilled shot, and thats what it's for. Its absolutely delicious, no better way to sweeten your iced tea in the summer. People are ready to hate on this distillery and it's just unfair.
21st September 2013
The honey in this liqueur takes over whatever whisky there is in the mix. Fine as a mixer, but don't buy if you plan on drinking straight.
3rd September 2013
one of the best Whiskies I've ever drank and I drink a lot fo whiskey!
14th July 2013
The sort of charcoal sweet and gluey taste of JD but with overpowered honey. But to be fair despite even the distiller's own claims it is pretty clear this is for mixing and not drinking on its own. Nice enough with orange juice and ice.
4th July 2013
Get a bottle of Drambuie. Better taste and much better value for money. Honestly, this was a big disappointment...
23rd May 2013
Picked up one of these after reading several recommendations on the web. Must say I am disappointed. It is drinkable but I expected a lot more at this price range. If you want a honeyed whisky taste, you can easily pick up a good bourbon or speyside at this price.
7th March 2013
It has a very rich palate and fantastic nose.
6th February 2013
Disgusting, overpowering and not a good whiskey whatsoever. Jack Daniel's whilst ok at what it does have created something that will tarnish their name even more. Nose: honey, glue, syrup. Palate: honey, bitter malt, sugary tarmac. Finish: oversweetened honey, syrup. Cannot recommend this whiskey, they should pull it from the market, especially at this price. NB... just noticed that this can't legally be called whiskey... at 35% it is a whiskey liqueur, pointless drink really.
