Cask-Aged Gin from that marvellous Professor Cornelius Ampleforth fellow! Made by taking tiny "octave" casks (roughly a fifth of the capacity of standard hogsheads), and filling them with the multi-award-winning Bathtub Gin, the spirit is then aged for between three to six months before bottling.
Thanks to the large surface area to volume ratio of these small casks, the gin gains all kinds of complexity and flavour during these months.
The result is a wonderfully spicy, rich and buttery gin. Although no longer released in individual batches, nothing about the production of this popular small batch gin has actually changed so fill yer boots!
