Nose: Pine needles and lemon rind. Quite floral and herbal.
Palate: Pine oil and a rich citrus core. Floral and faintly herbal. Earthy juniper.
Finish: Peppery finish.
Marvellous gin this - classic juniper, with nice citrus and some subtle spicy notes. A very impressive effort indeed, which made a classic G&T and a very good Negroni.
It seems that the halcyon days of gin have finally returned, because my wife Marjorie and I loved the clean fresh citrus flavours in this. We also detected a hint of smokiness too, which complemented a post-prandial cohiba perfectly. A cracking gin from down under, aye.
