The nose is fresh and ripe with notes of rich fruit, marmalade, ground ginger, peels, a little winter spice and cocoa. The palate is round and smooth with notes of fresh, ripe fruits and peels. The finish is medium and very smooth.

Dissapointingly bland to be honest. In fairness it was my first ever try of cognac so maybe I just failed to appreciate it, is it a drink of subtle of nuances? Either way compared to the excellent whiskys and rums I have been trying of late this was dull and uninspiring, though, to give it some credit, pleasantly smooth.
