Bottled by up-and-coming independent bottler Lady of the Glen, this 19 year old Caperdonich single malt Scotch whisky is very promising if it indicates how good their future releases will be. It was matured in an ex-bourbon cask, from which 120 bottles of fantastic whisky from the closed distillery in Speyside.
Nose: Creamy with soft lime, honey and overarching hints of oak.
Palate: Fairly warm with cinnamon and oak, leading to fresh fruity notes of apple and lemon.
Finish: Nutty and sweet.
Overall: Top work from Lady of the Glen and Caperdonich. Enjoyable down to the last drop.

Drinks like this make you wonder why the personel and distillery got axed.A most excellent expression of the art , the only thing certain is that not only is this a great whisky but the few remaining bottles of Caperdonich will reach Port Elllen status in a few years.
