Unfortunately, we can't ship Caol Ila 12 Year Old 2008 (cask 14251) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing) to the United States at the moment, but we've got some friends who can.
This Caol Ila was distilled in 2008, and left in a single refill hogshead for over a decade. Douglas Laing bottled it up after the whisky's 12th birthday, and released 338 bottles at 48.4% ABV for its Old Particular series. Yummy Islay whisky, anybody?
Nose: Fragrant peat and honeyed malt, along with singed, smoky oak.
Palate: Burnt toast, touches of homemade jam and peppery oak.
Finish: Classic medicinal peat remains alongside grist.
